Wichita 11, Gary SouthShore 9 – Box Wichita scored six runs over the final three innings to overcome an 8-5 deficit and beat Gary SouthShore by an 11-9 score. The Wingnuts have now won eight games in a row and lead the South Division by four games over the Laredo Lemurs. Wichita 3B Zack Cox went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three runs scored and three RBI while 2B Christian Stringer had two hits and scored three times. Wingnuts 1B Matt Chavez added two hits, a run scored and three RBI. Wichita pitcher Chase Johnson threw 1 1/3 innings of relief and nabbed his third win. Johnson gave up two earned runs on a hit. For the RailCats in defeat, SS Jarred Mederos hit a sixth inning grand slam. Fargo-Moorhead 8, St. Paul 1 – Box The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks rolled out to a 5-0 lead after three innings of play and cruised to an 8-1 victory over the St. Paul Saints. Fargo-Moorhead CF Kes Carter led the way offensively going 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI.
