MOORHEAD, MN — Milwaukee Milkmen outfielder Adam Brett Walker II and Sioux City Explorers closer Matt Pobereyko have been named the American Association’s Rawlings Batter and Pitcher of the Month for June, the league announced Thursday. Walker was one of the most captivating players in the Association in the month of June, belting a league-best 14 home runs and driving in 35 in just 27 games. Walker finished the month in dominant fashion: In his last seven games of June, Walker clubbed seven home runs and drove in 14. On the season he leads the Association with 16 home runs and ranks second with 44 RBIs. The 2020 American Association Most Valuable Player, Walker is in his fourth season in the AAPB and his third with the Milkmen. The Milwaukee native hit .268/.320/.609 with 22 home runs in 57 games last season, leading his hometown team to the league championship.…
