July 2 Evening Recap Kansas City 6, Sioux City 4 – Box Kansas City scored three runs in the seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie and beat the Sioux City Explorers by the score of 6-4. The T-Bones had 10 hits in the contest with three batters having multi-hit games. Kansas City 3B Jordan Edgerton went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI while 1B Kyle Petty had two hits in four at-bats and drove in a run. T-Bones starting pitcher Matt Sergey fanned 10 batters in 6 2/3 innings pitched to collect his second win of the year. Sergey gave up four runs, three earned, on eight hits and contributed a walk. With the victory, Kansas City completed the three-game sweep of Sioux City and have now won five straight. Texas 9, Salina 1 (Game 1- 7 Innings) – Box The Texas AirHogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead after three innings of play and cruised from there to a 9-1 victory over Salina in game one of a doubleheader.
