Kansas City 4, Texas 3 (Game 1 – 8 Innings) — Box Score The Kansas City T-Bones scored a pair of late runs to top the Texas AirHogs 4-3 in the first game of their Thursday twinbill in extra innings. The AirHogs were leading 3-2 going into the top of the seventh inning but Kansas City tied the score when LF Dexter Kjerstad scored while 3B Mason Davis reached base thanks to a dropped third strike. The T-Bones scored the eventual game-winning run in the next inning when Kjerstad singled home DH Zach Walters. For the AirHogs, 2B Casio Grider and 1B Correlle Prime each had a pair of hits and for the T-Bones, Walters and Kjerstad also added a pair of hits. Kansas City 1, Texas 0 (Game 2 – 7 Innings) – Box Score The Kansas City T-Bones’ pitching staff combined to no-hit the Texas AirHogs in the second game of their doubleheader, paving the way for a 1-0 win. Starter Francisco Gracesqui set the table with four innings of hitless work. He struck out nine batters on the night as well.
