August 27 Evening Recap Salina 5, Cleburne 2 – Box After giving up an early first inning run, the Salina Stockade took full command and plated five consecutive runs to notch a 5-2 victory over the Cleburne Railroaders. Salina scored their first two runs in the second inning as CF Javion Randle singled home DH Cody Coffman and 1B Kewby Meyer. The Stockade tallied their other three runs in the fourth when 2B Fernando Garza cleared the bases with a double. Salina starting pitcher Connor Bach tossed six innings and nabbed his second win of the season. Bach gave up an earned run on two hits and struck out three. For Cleburne in the losing effort, DH Nick Van Stratten went 1-for-4 with a run batted in. Fans can watch all American Association games live and for free at www.americanassociationbaseball.tv.
