Lincoln 7, Cleburne 6 – Box The Saltdogs quickly took control of the game on Saturday night, scoring seven runs in the first four innings to win their 32nd game of the year. DH Curt Smith provided the big bat in the victory, hitting a solo home run in the third inning and contributing two RBIs in the win. Smith also scored three times. The Railroaders added six runs in the seventh inning to make it a close game, but the Saltdogs stingy pitching sealed the win in the final two innings. RHP Michael Wagner locked the door with a scoreless ninth to pick up his tenth save of the season. RHP Carlos Pimentel earned the victory for the Saltdogs, pitching 6.2 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out six batters in his sixth win of the year. Gary 5, Salina 4 – Box The Railcats opened the game by scoring three runs in the second and third innings en route to their second consecutive win. After taking a 2-0 lead, the Stockade got a run back in the third. The Railcats held a 3-2 lead before a two-run explosion in the sixth added the insurance runs they needed for victory.
