St. Paul 4, Joplin 0 The St. Paul Saints won their ninth game of the year as they defeated the Joplin Blasters 4-0 in game one of last night’s suspended doubleheader. All four of the Saints’ runs came in the second inning. St. Paul starter Jeff Shields earned his second win of the year for his excellent performance on the mound. Joplin outhit the Saints 5-4. Game two, a seven inning contest, is scheduled for 6 PM tonight in Joplin, MO.
