Lincoln 3, Gary 1 – Box The Saltdogs edged the Railcats on Friday night to earn their 58th win of the season and it put them 20 games over .500 with two games left in the regular season. With the score tied 1-1 entering the seventh inning, DH Juan Martinez blasted a two-run home run to put the Saltdogs in front. Martinez was 1-5 with a run scored and two RBIs in the victory and the homer was his third of the year. RHP J.R. Bunda came in the sixth inning to record one out, but it was an important one as he received the win. Bunda (10-1) allowed a hit but limited the damage for the Saltdogs. RHP Michael Wagner pitched a scoreless ninth and picked up his 21st save of the season. 2B Cesar Valera produced a strong effort in the win, as he collected two hits and scored once.
