Lincoln 2, Laredo 0 – Box Lincoln starting pitcher Lindsey Caughel and two relievers combined on a five-hit shutout as the Saltdogs downed the Laredo Lemurs, 2-0. Caughel earned his fifth win of the year as he went the first seven innings giving up two walks and four hits while striking out eight batters. The bullpen duo of Brad Orosey and Evan Reed finished up the final two innings with Reed receiving his 13th save of the season. Lincoln scored both of their runs in the first inning on a RBI double by 2B/3B Connor Teykl and a run scoring single by LF Brandon Jacobs. Gary SouthShore 3, Winnipeg 1 (12 Innings) – Box Gary SouthShore RF Tillman Pugh launched a two-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to lead the RailCats to a 3-1 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The contest was scoreless until the seventh inning when CF Reggie Abercrombie hit a solo home run to make it 1-0 Winnipeg.
