July 19 Evening Recap Lincoln 5, Kansas City 2 – Box The Lincoln Saltdogs continue to stay red hot as they win their ninth game in a row, beating Kansas City by the score of 5-2. With the score 1-0 Lincoln through two innings of play, the Saltdogs put the contest away with a pair of runs in the third and fourth innings to give themselves a 5-1 advantage. Lincoln CF Matty Johnson led the way at the plate going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a RBI. Saltdogs DH Curt Smith had two hits in four at-bats and two RBI while 2B Cesar Valera doubled, scored a run and drove in one. Lincoln starter Robby Rowland tossed five solid innings to earn the win and improve his record to 2-1 on the season. Rowland allowed an earned run on three hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Fargo-Moorhead 7, Sioux Falls 6 – Box First baseman Trever Adams launched a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give Fargo-Moorhead the lead for good as they went on to defeat Sioux Falls by a 7-6 score.
