LINCOLN, Nebraska – Josh Altmann extended his hitting streak to six games with an RBI single in the 1st inning, but the ‘Dogs couldn’t overcome a four-run 2nd inning in a 9-2 loss to the Sioux Falls Canaries at Haymarket Park on Saturday night. BOX SCORE Altmann tied Ryan Long’s season-high hit streak, and gave Lincoln a 1-0 lead against Angel Ventura. But Ventura answered by retiring 11 straight ‘Dogs while three walks and two doubles led to four runs against Lincoln starter Carson Lance in the 2nd. Zak Taylor drove in David Vidal with a double in the 5th to make it 4-2, but the Canaries scored five times with two outs in the 8th to take a seven-run lead.
