Gary SouthShore 5, Lincoln 2- Box Score (F-7) The Gary SouthShore Railcats (22-18) used the long ball to take game one of a doubleheader against the Lincoln Saltdogs (23-18) on Sunday 5-2. Every Railcats’ run came via home run on Sunday. Reggie Wilson set the tone, hitting a lead-off home run (1) in the top of the first. However, the Saltdogs scored one run in the first and second to take a 2-1 lead. Lincoln held the lead until the top of the fourth when Colin Willis (5) and Alex Crosby (3) both hit solo home runs. Wilfredo Giminez added a two-run home run (2) in the top of the sixth to bring the game to its final score. Brendan Jenkins (2-0) entered in relief for Gary SouthShore and proceeded to pitch two scoreless innings to earn the win. Adam Quintana earned the save (3) after pitching a scoreless sixth and seventh, striking out five out of six batters faced.
