St. Paul 4, Gary SouthShore 3 (11 Innings) — Box Score Gary Southshore rallied late to tie the game and force extra innings but the St. Paul Saints scored in the top of the 11th to take a 4-3 win and claim the season-opening series two games to one. The RailCats trailed 3-1 heading into the eighth inning but 3B Garrett Copeland singled to score SS Randy Santiesteban in the bottom of the eighth and LF John Price Jr. tied the game with a sac fly in the ninth. After a scoreless 10th, LF Richard Prigatano, who went 3-for-5 on the day, singled to lead off the 11th and came around to score the game-winning run when 1B Brady shoemaker singled. The RailCats drew a walk in the bottom of the frame but reliever Ryan Boelter recorded three strikeouts to close out the win. He was tabbed as the winner on the day for working the 10th and 11th without allowing a run on one hit and four strikeouts.
