St. Paul 1, Sioux City 0 — Box Score The St. Paul Saints’ pitching staff combined to one-hit the Sioux City Explorers, paving the way for a 1-0 win. Starter John Straka pitched the first three innings of the game which was riddled with rain delays and reliever Caleb Thielbar worked the next three. Straka gave up the Explorer’s only hit – a second-inning single from DH LeVon Washington. Reliever Cory Williams worked the next two innings to earn the win and Ryan Rodebaugh worked the ninth to earn the save and preserve the one-hitter. The game’s only run came in the bottom of the seventh inning when 2B Sam Maus doubled to score C Aaron Gretz. The Saints had just five hits in the game and Gretz had two of them.   Lincoln 5, Wichita 0 — Box Score Four Lincoln Saltdog pitchers combined to two-hit the Wichita Wingnuts as Lincoln earned a 5-0 shutout win. Starting pitcher Jeff McKenzie went 5.1 innings and gave up just one hit before being relieved by Clayton Cook, who worked the next 1.2 innings. Cook struck out three batters of the five he faced.
