SAINTS’ MURPHY BECOMES FIRST PLAYER IN 2019 TO EARN WEEKLY HONORS TWICE

MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that St. Paul Saints’ OF Max Murphy has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending July 7, 2019. Murphy became the first player in the league to win the award twice this season after hitting .556 this past week with three doubles, four home runs, seven RBIs and four walks drawn. On the season, Murphy is third in the league in batting (.342), first in runs scored (40), first in home runs (16), and second in RBIs (40). Murphy also won the Player of the Week award for the week ending June 23 and St. Paul has now won three straight player of the week awards.
