St. Paul 4, Kansas City 1 – Box Score The St. Paul Saints held the Kansas City T-Bones to just one run on five hits as they picked up a 4-1 win on Friday night a CommunityAmerica Ballpark. The Saints snatched up the lead in the top of the third inning when 3B Dante Bichette Jr. (2-for-3) hit a two-run home run and, later in the inning, SS Anthony Phillips scored on a wild pitch. Kansas City’s lone run came in the bottom of the fifth when 1B Noah Perio Jr. doubled and then traded places with C Adrian Nieto two batters later. St. Paul added an insurance run in the top of the sixth as Bichette Jr. lifted a sacrifice fly to right that scored 1B Brady Shoemaker. Gary SouthShore 8, Winnipeg 1 – Box Score The Gary SouthShore RailCats moved one game above .500 on the season with an 8-1 win against the Winnipeg Goldeyes Friday night at Shaw Park.
