CLEBURNE, Tex. (Aug. 24, 2019) – The Cleburne Railroaders set a franchise record for runs scored on Saturday night, defeating the Texas AirHogs 22-2 at The Depot at Cleburne Station. The Railroaders (54-38) banged out 15 hits and drew 12 walks, which also matched a franchise record. They scored ten runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, another record, on just one hit. While the offense stole the show late, for much of the evening pitching dominated the script. Michael Gunn (5-0) did not allow a hit over six dominant innings, and Texas (25-67) did not record their first hit until one out in the top of the eighth. The two hits allowed by the Railroaders pitching staff matched a franchise low. Gunn surrendered just one unearned run on the night, striking out seven while walking two.
