August 21 Afternoon Recap Fargo-Moorhead 7, St. Paul 6 (11 Innings) – Box Fargo-Moorhead C Charlie Valerio singled home 3B Josh Mazzola with the game winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning as the RedHawks defeated St. Paul, 7-6 to complete the three-game sweep. The Saints had grabbed a 6-5 lead in the top of the ninth thanks to a three-run home run from DH Dan Johnson. However, Fargo-Moorhead would answer as 1B Dustin Geiger hit a solo shot in the bottom of the frame to tie the contest at 6-6 and send the game into extras. Valerio went 2-for-4 on the day with two RBI while RF K.D. Kang added a first inning three-run blast. RedHawks pitcher Brett Zawacki threw two scoreless innings to nab his first win of the year. Zawacki gave up a hit and two walks in the nine batters faced. Texas 6, Kansas City 1 – Box The Texas AirHogs rolled out to a 5-0 lead after four innings of play and would cruise from there to a 6-1 win over Kansas City.
