Fargo-Moorhead 5, Sioux City 4 – 17 Innings — Box Score The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks and the Sioux City Explorers needed 17 innings over two days to decide a winner and set a new league record for longest game in the process. After five hours and 44 minutes, the RedHawks walked off on the Explorers 5-4. The game was tied at two after nine innings thanks to first inning RBIs from 3B Josh Mazzola (pictured) and RF K.D. Kang and an eighth inning solo shot from 1B Matt Koch and an unearned run from 3B Tommy Mendonca in the ninth. Both teams scored in the 16th inning, which was the final inning played before the game was halted due to league rules. When play resumed on Wednesday in the top of the 17th, LF Tim Colwell singled to score SS Nate Samson and gave the Explorers a 4-3 lead.
