REDHAWKS SHUTOUT SALTDOGS TO STAY TIED FOR WILD CARD LEAD

August 30 Evening Recap Fargo-Moorhead 4, Lincoln 0 – Box Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Tyler Herron and two relievers combined on an eight-hit shutout as the RedHawks beat Lincoln, 4-0. Herron went the first 7 1/3 innings of the game giving up the eight hits while fanning eight batters in a 97-pitch effort. The bullpen duo of Trey McNutt and Casey Weathers tossed 1 2/3 scoreless innings to finish off the contest. McNutt notched the win and is 3-3 on the season. Offensively for Fargo-Moorhead, SS Yhoxian Medina went 3-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI while DH Chris Grayson had a three-run double in a 1-for-4 night. The RedHawks scored all four of their runs in the eighth inning. With the win, Fargo-Moorhead stays tied atop the wild card standings with Kansas City. Kansas City 8, Sioux City 2 – Box After falling behind 2-1 through four innings, the Kansas City T-Bones scored seven runs over the next two frames and rolled to an 8-2 win over Sioux City.
