MOORHEAD, MN- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks’ RHP Bret Helton has been named this week’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 23, 2019. Helton (2-1) earned the award after a masterful week long stretch that included 12.2 innings of shutout baseball across two starts. In his first start of the week on June 18 against the Gary SouthShore RailCats, Helton helped the RedHawks to a 3-0 win while allowing four hits, walking three, and striking out four in 5.2 innings of scoreless work. In his second start, the 25-year-old capped a doubleheader sweep of the Chicago Dogs by tossing a seven-inning complete game shutout in an 8-0 win.
