July 31 Evening Recap Fargo-Moorhead 11, Joplin 7 – Box Fargo-Moorhead rolled out to a 3-0 lead after three innings of play and cruised to an 11-7 victory over the Joplin Blasters. The RedHawks had 16 hits in the game with eight batters collecting at least one. Fargo-Moorhead DH Keury De La Cruz had a sensational game going 3-for-5 with two home runs, three runs scored and three RBI. RedHawks 2B Ryan Pineda added two hits, including a home run, and scored two runs while 3B Josh Mazzola plated a pair of runs in a 1-for-4 night. Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Tyler Alexander threw 6 2/3 innings and nabbed his eighth win of the season. Alexander gave up six earned runs on eight hits and fanned eight Joplin batters. For the Blasters in the losing cause, LF Sean Smith led the way going 2-for-3 with a two-run home run. Wichita 6, Laredo 2 – Box Wichita starting pitcher Alex Boshers tossed six strong innings in leading the Wingnuts to a 6-2 victory over the Laredo Lemurs.
