Gary SouthShore 4, Kansas City 3 (12 Innings) – Box Score An RBI double from 3B Phil Caulfield in the bottom of the 12th inning pushed the Gary SouthShore RailCats past the Kansas City Monarchs 4-3. The game was tied at 3-3 after nine innings as the Monarchs saw a second-inning RBI single and a sixth inning solo homer from LF Colin Willis and an RBI single from DH Gabriel Guerrero in the seventh; the RailCats matched that with back-to-back home runs from C Jackson Smith and RF Alec Olund to lead off the third and a sac fly from SS Tyler Van Marter in the seventh. In the 12th, Olund singled with one out, took second when Van Marter was hit by a pitch and scored on Caulfield’s second double of the night.
