Gary Southshore 4, Lincoln 1 – Box The Railcats cruised to their 55th win of the season on Saturday night, tying the T-Bones for second place in the wild-card standings one game back with a game remaining. RF Joey Havrilak put the Railcats on the board in the first on a RBI single. The Saltdogs tied the game in the second before the Railcats took a 2-1 lead in the third on a sacrifice fly from LF Cameron Newell. The Railcats scored runs in the sixth and seventh innings to take a 4-1 lead in the eventual victory. RHP Sam Myers pitched 2.2 scoreless innings in relief, allowing two hits, walking a batter and striking out three. RHP Jorge De Leon pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his 11th save of the season. Sioux Falls 6, Sioux City 5 – Box The Canaries jumped to a 1-0 lead in the first inning courtesy of a RBI single from 1B Chris Jacobs. The Explorers countered with four runs over the third and fourth innings. 2B Joel Davis delivered one of those RBIs, connecting with a single to give the Explorers the 3-1 advantage.
