Gary SouthShore 4, Sioux Falls 3 – Box Score A sacrifice fly from 2B Will Savage in the bottom of the eighth inning made the difference as the Gary SouthShore RailCats topped the Sioux Falls Canaries 4-3. The RailCats opened the scoring in the bottom of the fifth inning when LF Tillman Pugh singled home Savage after he hit a lead-off triple. Pugh scored alongside 3B Randy Santiesteban (2-for-4) when C Andy Paz singled to center field later in the inning. The Canaries drew one back in the sixth with a 1B Jeff Malm (2-for-4) RBI single and they tied the score in the top of the eighth when 3B Patrick Fiala hit a two-run home run. In the bottom of the inning, Paz was hit by a pitch to lead things off. He stole second and took third on a sacrifice from CF D.K. Carey before scoring when Savage lifted a ball to left field.
