May 24 Evening Recap Gary SouthShore 3, Kansas City 2 (13 Innings) – Box Shortstop Andy DeJesus’ two-out RBI single in the top of the 13th scored PR Kris Goodman with the game winning run as Gary SouthShore beat Kansas City, 3-2. With the victory, the RailCats completed the three-game sweep of the T-Bones and have now won four straight. DeJesus along with DH Colin Willis each had three hits on the night while C Wilfredo Gimenez collected four hits in six-bats. Gary SouthShore pitcher Drasen Johnson tossed two shutout innings out of the bullpen to notch his first win. For Kansas City in the losing effort, RF Daniel Rockett went 2-for-6 and scored a run. Sioux City 3, Lincoln 2 – Box Shortstop Nate Samson hit a two-out, two-run double in the seventh inning to give Sioux City a 3-2 lead and they would go from there to win by that same margin over Lincoln. The 2-3 hitters of RF Michael Lang and LF Jayce Ray led the offensive charge for the Explorers as the duo went a combined 5-for-7 at the plate with a double and three runs scored.
