Cleburne 6, Texas 3 – Box After going down 3-0 in the fifth inning, the Railroaders scored four runs in the sixth and seventh innings to take a 4-3 lead en route to a three-run victory on Thursday night. 1B Geraldo Valentin and SS Alex Polston both homered in the win, as they drove in two and three runs respectively. C Mitch Abeita collected three hits and scored twice in the win. RHP Alberto Rodriguez went seven strong innings, as he allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits while striking out seven batters. RHP Winston Abreu struck out the side in the ninth to earn his 16th save. Sioux City 5, Lincoln 3 – Box The Explorers outlasted the Saltdogs on Thursday night to win 5-3 in the opening game of the series. Two Saltdogs homered in the victory, including 2B Jordan Bennie, whose solo shot gave the team a 1-0 lead. 3B Eudor Garcia also homered in the win, as he hit a two-run shot in the second to give the Explorers a 3-1 lead.
