Kansas City 4 Sioux City 0 Justin Donatella tossed a complete game two-hitter as the Monarchs (56-28) beat the Explorers (43-41) in a game which had only four total hits 2-0 on Thursday night. Alexis Olmeda had a sacrifice fly and Colin Willis scored on a wild pitch in the second for Kansas City before Will Kengor launched a solo homer in the third and Willis followed suit in the fourth. From there, Donatella was the story, allowing only two Sioux City singles all night while walking one and striking out nine. Chicago 2 Lincoln 0 Jordan Kipper (6 IP, 5 H, 9 K) and three relivers combined on a six-hit shutout as the Dogs (51-32) edged the Saltdogs (45-38) 2-0 on Thursday evening at Haymarket Park. K.C.
