PASTORA EARNS FIRST SHOT AT AFFILIATED BALL; HEADED TO BREWERS ORGANIZATION

MOORHEAD, MINN. – The Cleburne Railroaders have sold the contract of RHP Steve Pastora to the Milwaukee Brewers organization, the American Association announced Saturday, May 18. Pastora is the 17th American Association player to have his contract purchased by a Major League organization in 2019, and the 37th since the start of the 2018 season. After spending his first professional season with the Wichita Wingnuts in 2018, Pastora was traded twice over offseason. First, he was shipped from Wichita to the Gary SouthShore RailCats in October. Then, the RailCats traded the young righty for RHP Felix Carvallo in December. Pearson made three relief appearances during his short stint with the Wingnuts in 2018, giving up zero runs, while allowing two hits and striking out three batters in his three innings of relief as a professional.
