Cleburne 5, Chicago 4- Box Score The Cleburne Railroders (17-27) held on to defeat the Chicago Dogs (16-29) 5-4 on Friday. Rafael Palmairo led the Railroaders, going 3-for-3 with two home runs (5), five RBIs, two runs scored, and a walk. The 53 year old’s two run home run in the top of the second gave Cleburne a 2-0 lead. Chicago tied it in the bottom of the inning with one run coming on a solo home run by Tony Roselli (5). Palmeiro hit another two-run home run in the top of the fourth to reclaim the lead before adding an RBI single in the top of the eighth to make it a 5-2 game. Chicago pushed in the bottom of the ninth, scoring two on Railroaders’ closer Shawn Blackwell, but Blackwell was able to end the game with the lead intact. Michael Gunn (2-1) earned the win after giving up just two unearned runs in seven innings of seven strikeout work. Sioux Falls 1, Gary SouthShore 0- Box Score Sioux Falls Canaries’ (18-26) ace Cesilio Pimentel turned in another gem in a 1-0 win over the Gary SouthShore Railcats (23-22) on Friday.
