NATIONALS PURCHASE CONTRACT OF T-BONES WALKER

WITCHITA, Kan.– The Kansas City T-Bones announced today that the contract of outfielder Adam Brett Walker has been sold to the Washington Nationals. Adam Brett Walker played in all three games for the T-Bones over the weekend at Wichita, drawing starting nods in all three. He went 2-for-11 for Kansas City, scoring two runs. Walker had a busy 2017 season where he saw playing time at three different AAA clubs and a pair of AA clubs. He opened the season at AAA Gwinnett with the Atlanta Braves where he played in 10 games with a homer and four RBIs. At AA Mississippi in the Southern League, Walker would play 14 games with four home runs and 12 RBIs. Walker would be released by Atlanta on May 9th of last year but would sign with the Baltimore Orioles organization on June 10th. He was then assigned to AA Bowie in the Eastern League where he played in 12 games with six long balls and 12 RBIs for the Bay Sox. Baltimore moved Walker to AAA Norfolk where he drove in 15 runs in 18 games with three home runs. On July 23rd Baltimore released Walker, but he was signed by Cincinnati on August 4th and would go on to play in 25 games at AAA Louisville, hitting .207…
