Milkmen Sweep Winnipeg Under the Rug. By, Hannah McIlree Jackson, TN.- Game one of Saturday’s double header kicked off with Joey Gonzalez on the mound for the Winnipeg Goldeyes, who are playing their home games in Jackson, TN due to the Canadian border remaining closed. Leading off for the Milkmen was Brett Vertigan who was due for a hit after going 0-6 in the batter’s box on Friday. Vertigan hit a single to center field and camped out on first base. David Washington was next for the Milkmen to put the ball in play going yard for his second time this series. Washington continued his campaign for league leader in RBI’s, knocking in his third run of the afternoon, after Adam Brett Walker II doubled in his earlier at bat, leaving it 3-0 in the first half of the third inning.Left-hander David Holmberg took the mound for Milwaukee and kept the lead alive…
