Laredo 3, Texas 0 — Box Score The Laredo Lemurs pitching staff combined to two-hit the Texas AirHogs on the way to a 3-0 shutout win. Starting pitcher Zack Dodson earned the win for working six innings and allowing just one hit while striking out four batters in his debut with the Lemurs. Reliever Luis Pollorena come on and worked the next two innings while allowing just one more hit and reliever Jeff Inman struck out the side in the ninth to seal the deal. Offensively, SS Alvaro Rondon had a pair of RBI and CF Denis Phipps went 3-for-4. St. Paul 2, Gary SouthShore 1 — Box Score The St. Paul Saints edged past the Gary SouthShore RailCats 2-1 in a game where each team managed just four hits. The RailCats struck first, as 2B John Holland scored when LF Reggie Wilson grounded out to the third baseman in the bottom of the third inning. But the Saints took the lead in the top of the fifth and never trailed again.
