Sioux City 2, Kane County 1 – Box Score Behind a complete game from starting pitcher Patrick Ledet, the Sioux City Explorers (17-10) topped the Kane County Cougars 2-1. Ledet needed just 117 pitched to finish off the Cougars, 79 for strikes, as he allowed one unearned run on nine hits while striking out seven batters. The win moves Ledet to 3-0 on the year in six starts but the Explorers have won every contest in which he’s seen the mound. The Cougars’ only run came in the bottom of the first when CF Anfernee Seymour reached on an error and eventually scored when RF Jeffrey Baez grounded out to short. For the Explorers, C Mitch Ghelfi had an RBI double in the fifth that scored DH Sebastian Zawada (2-for-4) and, in the seventh, Ghelfi reached base on a dropped third strike that allowed LF DJ Poteet to score. …
