Kansas City 2 Fargo-Moorhead 1 Jan Hernandez hit a tiebreaking solo homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift the Monarchs (2-3) over the RedHawks (3-3) in a very well pitched game 2-1 on Sunday at Legends Field. Thanks in large part to the pitching of Kansas City starter Eric Stout (7 IP, 1 ER) and Fargo-Moorhead’s Tyler Pike (5 IP, 1 ER), the game took a mere one hour and 45 minutes to be played. Carlos Diaz picked up the win in relief. Sam Dexter had three hits for the RedHawks.
