LAMBSON THROWS COMPLETE GAME SHUTOUT IN WIN OVER RAILCATS

Winnipeg 5, Gary SouthShore 0 – Box Score Winnipeg starting pitcher Mitchell Lambson was sensational tonight as he tossed a complete game shutout in the 5-0 win over Gary SouthShore. Lambson gave up six hits in the game with only one of those being for an extra base hit (3B Thomas Walraven). The southpaw threw 113 pitches, 82 for strikes, and struck out eight batters. With the victory, Lambson is now 3-1 on the year. Offensively for the Goldeyes, CF Reggie Abercrombie led the way going 2-for-3 with two walks, a run scored and an RBI. Winnipeg LF James Harris drove in a pair of runs in a 2-for-4 day while leadoff hitter Alex Perez had a hit in three at-bats along with a run and two bases on balls.
