KANSAS CITY OUTLASTS WICHITA WITH 14TH-INNING WALK OFF

Kansas City 7, Wichita 6 – 14 Innings — Box Score Patrick Brady finished off a crazy night in Kansas City with a walk-off single to give the T-Bones a 7-6, 14-inning win against the Wichita Wingnuts. The Winguts were trailing 5-3 heading into the ninth inning but back-to-back singles from Matt Chavez and Brennan Delgado tied the score at 5-5. The T-Bones loaded up the bases with no outs in the bottom of the ninth but a pair of fielder’s choices and a pop out ended the threat. Wichita pulled in front in the top of the 11th when T.J. Mittelstaedt hit a solo home run but the T-Bones answered with a sac fly from Omar Garcia that scored Brady in the bottom half of the inning. In the 14th, Brady came up with the bases loaded and connected on a 1-1 pitch to finish off the game. He was 2-for-3 in the game.
