Kansas City 9, Wichita 8 — Box Score The Kansas City T-Bones picked up a wild 9-8 walk-off win against the Wichita Wingnuts on Monday night at Community America Ballpark. After seven and a half innings the T-Bones trailed 8-3 but they cut that lead down to 8-6 in the bottom of the eighth when CF Omar Garcia (pictured) plated two runs with a single and 3B Marcus Lemon followed him with an RBI single of his own. In the bottom of the ninth, RF Chantz Mack doubled home LF Joe Jackson to pull within one run and then the Wingnuts intentionally walked C Leonardo Rojas to load the bases. After a run-saving 5-2 fielder’s choice, Garcia and Lemon drew back-to-back walks to score the game-winning runs. For the night, Mack had a team-high three hits while Garcia, Lemon, Rojas and SS Eddie Newton each added two. For the Wingnuts, both 1B Matt Chavez and LF Brennan Salgado went 3-for-5.
