HUR NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Texas AirHogs’ OF Michael Hur (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending May 22nd. Hur batted .500 (8-for-16) over four games, slugging two home runs and six RBI. In the past two victories over the Kansas City T-Bones, Hur collected three hits in each game. On May 20, in an 8-3 loss against Kansas City, the UC-Riverside product began his hot streak going 2-for-3 at the plate as he hit his first home run of the year. A day later on May 21, Hur guided the AirHogs to their first victory of the season defeating the T-Bones 9-3. The Stevenson, Ranch CA native went 3-for-5, smashing one double and two RBI. In Texas’ most recent contest, he once again went 3-5, hitting his second home run of the year to help propel the AirHogs past the T-Bones by a 6-3 final. A 20th-round selection of the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2010, this is his first season with the Texas AirHogs. The AirHogs currently sit at 2-2 on the year.
