MAY 22 AFTERNOON RECAPS Texas 6, Kansas City 3- Box The AirHogs earned a split of the season-opening series with the T-Bones by taking a 6-3 win on Sunday afternoon. RF Kenny Peoples-Walls opened the scoring with an RBI double in the top of the third for Texas, and CF Michael Hur followed with a two-run home run. The blast was part of a 3-for-5 game for Hur, joining C Michael Miller (2-for-4) as AirHogs with multiple hits on the afternoon. RHP Palmer Betts struck out three in five and a third innings of work to earn the win for Texas, and RHP Alan Oaks worked a 1-2-3 ninth for the save. For Kansas City, 2B Brett Wiley was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Lincoln 9, Wichita 6- Box The Saltdogs built an 8-1 lead and withstood a Wingnuts rally to earn a 9-6 win in Sunday’s series finale in Wichita. After a three-run first, 3B Christian Ibarra blasted a two-run homer in the fourth for Lincoln. One inning later, DH Curt Smith and LF Jon Smith each hit solo homers to blow the game open.
