HOT HITTING REYES EARNS PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

FARGO, ND- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Lincoln Saltdogs’ OF Angel Reyes (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending May 27. Reyes went on an absolute tear last week, hitting .480 while belting four home runs and driving in 14 runners in just six games. Two of those home runs came on Sunday against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. In nine games this season, Reyes is hitting .382/.421/.882 with five home runs and 15 RBIs. His slugging, HR, and RBI totals all lead the American Association. This is Reyes’ first season in independent ball. Prior to coming to Lincoln, Reyes was a prospect in the Miami Marlins system where he reached as high as advanced A ball in 2017 with the Jupiter Hammerheads.
