FRANKLIN, Wis. (July 8, 2021) – David Holmberg tossed a complete game shutout to help the Milwaukee Milkmen salvage the series finale over the Cleburne Railroaders by the score of 6-0 on Thursday night at Franklin Field.The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Cleburne (25-20) and a six-game losing streak for Milwaukee (26-19). Holmberg (6-3) allowed only two hits and one walk, striking out eight. He retired the first 14 hitters to come to the plate against him, and only faced two batters over the minimum. Noah Vaughan and Chase Simpson each recorded a single for the Cleburne hits.Milwaukee (26-19) got all the offense they would need in the bottom of the first inning on back-to-back home runs from Logan Trowbridge and Adam Brett Walker. Walker would later add a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth, his league-leading 20th and 21st home runs of the season.The…
