Fargo-Moorhead 6, Sioux City 0 — Box Score Fargo-Moorhead starting pitcher Tyler Herron tossed a complete-game one hitter as the RedHawks shutout the Sioux City Explorers 6-0. Herron is now 2-0 in three appearances this season and is yet to allow a run in 2016. He faced just one batter more than the minimum on Wednesday night as he did not allow a walk in the game. He needed just 97 pitches (68 strikes) to finish off the Explorers and he struck out nine batters. SS Nate Samson had the Explorers’ lone hit in the top of the second inning. The RedHawks bats backed Herron up with six runs, all coming in the fifth through seventh innings. Six different RedHawks registered hits in the game and five of them had two hits including 2B Ryan Pineda who went 2-for-5 with two RBI. CF Kes Carter, who also had two hits in the game, hit his second home run of the season to lead off the fifth inning.
