HARRIS’ 11TH INNING RUN LIFTS RAILCATS PAST GOLDEYES

Gary SouthShore 8, Winnipeg 7 – 11 Innings — Box Score CF Chase Harris scored the game-winning run for the Gary SouthShore RailCats in the top of the 11th inning to give his team an 8-7 win against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. Winnipeg LF Josh Romanski tied the game at 7-7 with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth and gave remained level until the top of the 11th. Harris doubled with one away in the 11th and then stole third before DH Cameron Newell lifted a sac fly to center field to score the decisive run. For the game, both RF Anthony Checky, Jr. and 1B Frank Martinez went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. For the Goldeyes, DH David Bergin and C Mason Katz also left the yard on the day and Bergin, as well as Romanski, were two of four batters to have two-hit games. The start of the game was delayed one hour and 14 minutes by rain. Sioux Falls 9, Fargo-Moorhead 8 – 10 Innings — Box Score The Sioux Falls Canaries outlasted the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 9-8 in 10 innings thanks to an RBI single from LF Ty Morrison in the top of the 10th.…
