Winnipeg 11, Texas 2- Box The Goldeyes broke the game open with six runs in the eighth to take an 11-2 win over the AirHogs with 7,182 looking on at Shaw Park. Leading 5-2 entering the frame, 3B Wes Darvill added a sacrifice fly, and two more runs scored on an RBI single by CF Reggie Abercrombie. The game’s final three runs came across on a three-run blast by DH Shawn Pleffner, his second home run of the season. Abercrombie collected a team-high three hits on the afternoon, and LF Josh Romanski and 1B David Bergin each had two more. RHP Edwin Carl struck out five and allowed just one earned run over six innings, picking up the victory. Texas C Michael Miller was 3-for-3 in the loss.
