GOLDEYES HILL HEADED TO ROYALS ORGANIZATION

MOORHEAD, MINN. – The Winnipeg Goldeyes have sold the contract of OF Tyler Hill to the Kansas City Royals’ organization, the American Association announced Thursday, August 8. Hill is the 36th American Association player to have his contract purchased by a Major League organization in 2019. Hill has done nothing but rake since joining the Goldeyes on June 26. In 40 games with Winnipeg, Hill is hitting .375 with 32 runs scored, 14 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, 28 RBIs, and 16 stolen bases. Hill began his professional career in 2014 after being drafted in the 19th round of the MLB Draft by the Boston Red Sox. The Delaware native spent five seasons in the Red Sox organization, stealing 42 bags with the Greenville Drive of the South Atlantic League (A) in 2017. Hill began 2019 with the New York Yankees’ organization before landing with the Goldeyes.
