JUNE 5 AFTERNOON RECAPS Winnipeg 6, Lincoln 5- Box A three-run bottom of the ninth inning rally pushed the host Goldeyes to a stunning 6-5 win over the Saltdogs Sunday. 2B Casio Grider began the rally with a leadoff solo home run to trim Lincoln’s lead to 5-4. With two outs and the bases empty, C Carlton Tanabe singled to left field. Following a single by LF Adam Heisler, pinch runner Josh Romanski advanced to third. The game tying-run scored on a balk, and SS Maikol Gonzalez won the contest with an RBI single to plate Heisler. Tanabe and Heisler had two hits apiece for Winnipeg, but RF David Rohm paced the club with three. 1B Jacob Rogers added a fifth-inning solo homer for the Goldeyes. RHP Jailen Peguero recorded the final out from the bullpen to earn the win. For Lincoln, 1B Rene Leveret went 2-for-4 with a home run, his third of the season. Kansas City 12, Sioux City 8- Box The visiting T-Bones scored in five consecutive innings from the fourth through the eighth, plating eight of their 12 runs in a 12-8 win over the Explorers.
