FARGO, N.D. (June 12, 2021) – Alex Boxwell hit a walk-off infield single in the bottom of the tenth as the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks defeated the Cleburne Railroaders 2-1 on Saturday night at Newman Outdoor Field. Will Zimmerman worked a one-out walk in the tenth against Bryan Saucedo (0-1), with a wild pitch and a balk advancing him to third. With the count 0-2, Boxwell swung at a pitch that bounced in the dirt but managed to hit a slow roller up the first base line, scoring Zimmerman from third with the winning run.The loss spoiled a brilliant start from Cleburne left-hander Michael Gunn, who allowed just three hits and one run over seven innings, recording a season-high eight strikeouts.
