SIOUX CITY, Iowa. (Aug. 22, 2019) – Jose Sermo skied a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 12th inning to give the Sioux City Explorers a 4-3 win over the Cleburne Railroaders on Thursday night at Lewis and Clark Park. Bryan Saucedo (2-2) started the inning with three straight walks, setting the stage for Sermo. His high fly ball to center carried to Zach Nehrir, whose throw to the plate was late as Drew Stankiewiciz slid in with the winning run. The script was similar to Wednesday evening, as Cleburne grabbed an early lead. In the first inning, back-to-back RBI doubles from Chase Simpson and John Nester gave the Railroaders (53-37) a 2-0 advantage.
