Sioux City 11, Lincoln 1 (Completion of Suspended Game from August 11) – Box The Sioux City Explorers rolled out to an 8-0 lead after three innings of play and would never look back as they cruised to an 11-1 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Sioux City pounded out 14 hits in the contest with four hitters having multi-hit games. Explorers LF LeVon Washington and CF Tim Colwell had a combined six hits, including two doubles, five runs scored and two RBI. Sioux City 3B Tommy Mendonca added two hits in four-bats with two RBI while SS Nate Samson plated a pair of runs in a 1-for-5 night. Explorers starting pitcher Bryan Escanio tossed seven solid innings in earning his fourth win of the season. Escanio gave up an earned run on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts. Sioux City 6, Lincoln 2 (Regularly scheduled game/7 Innings) – Box Sioux City scored three runs in the seventh inning to break open a tight game and defeat the Lincoln Saltdogs by a 6-2 final.
